After spending half an hour with Gok Wan, it was clear to see why he is Britain’s most loveable fashion guru.

His infectious energy had us fascinated as we chatted at the launch of his second eyewear range for Specsavers – a gorgeous forties and fifties-inspired collection designed to “make a style statement”.

The television personality divulged his style icons, deeming the Queen’s fashion sense “incredible”.

WHEN glasses wearer and ambulance service allocator Pat Pugsley was woken up to a phone call saying she’d won a specs-styling session with fashion guru Gok Wan, she couldn’t believe her luck.

But when she woke up a second time, having fallen back to sleep, she thought the whole thing had been a dream.

She says: “I’d worked the night before so was fast asleep when they called me.

“When they told me I’d won the Echo competition I was thrilled, if a little dazed and confused, but once the phone call ended I went back to bed.

“Waking up a few hours later, I wasn’t sure whether I’d dreamt the whole thing. It was very surreal.”

Fifty-six-year-old Pat from Talbot Green met up with Gok at Cardiff’s Kuku Club last Monday to claim her prize.

Choosing from 13 new styles which he’s recently added to his popular GW by Gok Wan range for Specsavers, the TV star picked out a pair which he thought were best suited to Pat’s face shape, appearance and personality.

Yesterday was a huge day for World of Difference, and we saw the lucky 500 World of Difference charity winners getting together for the first time. They found out more about the programme, and got to meet patrons Gok Wan, Simon Weston and Lisa Potts. It was an excellent day, with lots of inspiring people.

The induction day for the 500 winners of the World of Difference charity was held at Newbury Racecourse. We got the chance to meet hundreds of inspiring people setting off on a journey that will change their lives forever. More importantly, it will be a journey that will change the lives of lots of other people – people who aren’t in a position to help themselves.

The winners also met some inspiring people who have an impressive track record when it comes to setting up charities, helping out people and facing up to and beating adversity.

Hello my lovelies! Well the 1st March certainly is proving to be a big day in my world. Two brand new collections are launching today.

My 3rd, and I really think best, collection for Sainsburys. I have taken on a lot of advice and feedback from all you guys who have been wearing the first two collections and I hope you are going to love this one – there is a fantastic new print and some fabulous pieces that I think every wardrobe needs!

Then of course I have my new collection for SimplyBe called the Wall of Fame. I’ve taken six classic pieces, in 3 brand new colours, and given them that extra Gok love and affection that will boost, smooth, slim or support! What more do you need ladies!

I really hope you enjoy wearing them as much as I have enjoyed designing them!
